We stayed at the Newport Bay Hotel. The room is lovely with two double beds and a balcony (and also, no doubt, Snoring Lizzie – Ed). A kettle, coffee machine, a safe, shampoo, soap, body lotion and flannels were also provided as well as two bottles of water.
In the evening we went to the Halloween party. Again it was different from Magic Kingdom. The parade was the same as the daytime one but illuminated. The lighting was amazing and there were random characters wandering about scaring people. We really enjoyed walking round, enjoying the atmosphere and admiring the truly amazing costumes that the guests were wearing. It was often difficult to know who were cast members and who were guests.
A lot of the eating places in the park were already booked up, but we went to Pizzeria Bella Notte where we had a delicious 'menu' of pizza, garlic bread, a drink and a yogurt – and all for €17. We were so full and saved our yogurt for tomorrow's breakfast.
There is a shuttle bus which runs between the park area and
the resort hotels but it was also a fairly easy walk.
